MATERIAL HANDLERS – WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATES

Pay starting at $21/hour.

We produce sustainable packaging solutions for our customers and are looking for several team players to join the pack.

Our new, climate controlled plant will run 7 days a week and hiring will start in November 2024 for this position.

Material Handlers/ Warehouse associate are responsible for the accurate, timely and safe handling of incoming and outgoing stocks and materials. They operate fork lift, clam truck, pallet jacks or any other lifting and carrying devices to collect and place specific material into designated locations.

What you need to succeed:

  • Health and Safety mindset
  • High School Diploma or GED combined with experience in a warehouse environment
  • Experience in operating different types of lift truck
  • Versatile, ability to learn and do a variety of tasks
  • Basic mathematic skills
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office products, SAP an asset
  • Be organized and rigorous. 
  • Must be available to work on 12 hours shifts covering 7 days (1 weekend every second week).
  • Good reading and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers, by hand or using trucks, or other lifting devices.
  • Read work orders and bring material to production areas in a timely manner.
  • Supply pallets and cartons to sealers and presses.
  • Load and unload trucks, store material in the appropriate location.
  • Use RF scanning devices for scanning of storage and retrieval transactions.
  • Complete all documents related to shipping and/or receiving tasks.
  • Inspect incoming shipments and material for damage and defects.
  • Verify receiving and shipping documents are accurate.
  • Prepare bills of lading for carriers, indicating product name and quantity shipped.
  • Use labels to calculate quantities shipped and record them on the load.
