The Beverage Carton Industry Launches 2030 Roadmap
ACE, The Alliance for Beverage Cartons and the Environment, and its members SIG Combibloc, BillerudKorsnäs, Elopak, Stora Enso and Tetra Pak, have set the industry’s vision for the future: we will deliver the most sustainable packaging for resilient food supply systems which is renewable, climate positive and circular. Elopak is proud to be part of the industry’s ambitious next step.
Commenting on the launch Elopak CEO Thomas Körmendi stated, “Elopak welcomes the launch of the ACE 2030 Roadmap. Collaboration and innovation are central to advancing sustainability-focused solutions in the packaging industry. Together we can play an important role in the global shift towards a low-carbon circular economy.”
“Elopak stands ready to support the roll out of the ACE 2030 Roadmap. We are already working hard to deliver on its ambitious targets, from producing fully renewable beverage cartons to designing for circularity,” he continued.
Elopak has been a carbon neutral company since 2016 and continues to push itself towards new sustainability goals. These include a 55 per cent reduction of internal GHG emissions and a 16 per cent reduction across the value chain by 2030 from a 2017 baseline.
