St. Helens Farm steps into the cow milk market

Family-run goat milk dairy St. Helen’s Farm is moving into new sectors with the launch of SuperNutrio, an innovative high protein, high calcium cow’s milk. For over 40 years, based in York, England, St. Helen’s Farm is the most successful goat milk dairy in the UK providing fresh goats milk, cheese, yoghurt, and butter products.

2024 marks a milestone turning point in St. Helen’s history with the new SuperNutrio milk brand, the dairy’s first cow’s milk product. The range will include three new products, a skimmed, semi and whole milk, packaged in one litre Pure-Pak® Sense cartons and distributed in the major retailers across the UK.

“We are proud to be an independent business, and new ideas are never far from our minds. We will always go above and beyond for our customers, and we can see how health and fitness trends and growing consumer dietary awareness are fueling the huge demand for more protein rich products.”

Cow’s milk proteins are rich in branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs), which are essential for muscle growth, repair, and recovery, making them popular among athletes and fitness enthusiasts.1

St. Helen’s SuperNutrio Milk is produced from a process that naturally delivers more protein and more calcium, nothing added.

“The process which has been patented, results in double the amount of proteins compared to a standard white milk and 80% more calcium on average. These nutrients are important for maintaining strong bones, healthy skin, and optimal brain function.”

The milk protein market from dairy products segment is anticipated to grow at 3.9% CAGR through 2032.1 A surge in demand for high protein products has come from the increasing consumer interest in health, fitness and wellbeing, and milk protein is a key product in a burgeoning market.2

“Consumers see the value of protein to health and how consuming protein rich foods can boost and support our fitness. Consumers also want to know how to get extra protein and other milk-rich nutrients without supplements, so they want the convenience along with taste and quality.”

The 3 SuperNutrio products are packaged in one liter Pure-Pak® Sense cartons and distributed in leading retailers across the UK.

“We continue to pack our products in Pure-Pak® cartons which already contain less plastic than traditional plastic milk bottles and the new tethered cap helps to further reduce plastic waste as it remains attached to the pack throughout its life until the recycling process,”
